In 1884, Baron Léon Lescure founded one of the first butter factories in the Charente region of France. Milk from surrounding farms was processed in keeping with ancestral expertise: a perfectly mastered technique, and attention to detail with every step, resulting in LESCURE butter, which has earned the AOP certification from the European Union. LESCURE butter shows features of its origin, the Charentes-Poitou region, where fertile soil produces a nutritious feed that imparts a unique flavor to the milk and butter. Maize is added to the cows' feed to give the milk a regular fat content throughout the year and guarantee the consistency of LESCURE butter. LESCURE butter has long been recognized by artisan bakers, pastry chefs and executive chefs who strive to use traditional products. Its consistency, inimitable hazelnut taste and exceptional plasticity make it the preferred butter of demanding artisans. This butter enhances sweet and savory creations alike, but also bursts with flavor when spread on a simple slice of fresh bread. It is a delicious invitation to a delectable moment!
